Other Perspectives #44

552 Relax and Succeed Rebuttal - It takes a long time to win

Nothing against this cat or dog, but that’s not how trust works. Trust isn’t a chain, where a break in link 267 means that everything from link 268 and on suddenly has no value. There’s no linkage like that. Trust is like every aspect of life—moment to moment. It’s more like a clock ticking than a chain. Each second is an island. And if you add up all the sections and it’s mostly trustworthy moments, then that’s a trustworthy person. They don’t have to be perfect. They just have to want to be. And the same goes for you.

Note: Everyone who posts or shares a quote does so with the very best of intentions. That said, I have created the series of Other Perspectives blog posts in an effort to prevent some of these ideas from entering into people’s consciousness unchallenged. These quotes range from silly to dangerous and—while I intend no offence to their creators—I do use these rebuttals to help define and delineate the larger message I’m attempting to convey in my own work. I do hope you find them helpful in your pursuit of both psychological and spiritual health.
