Friends. No one makes us be with them. Every time we see a friend it’s generally by choice. And yet many people can experience challenging periods in their friendships. I wrote numerous blogs about friendship over the years, but this one was the 2nd most popular blog because so many people could relate to it. So if you really want to know what it is to be a truly good friend then give it a read. But it might surprise you. And you might find out that a friend that you thought let you down, really didn’t. A serious childhood brain injury lead Scott to spend his entire life meditating on the concepts of thought, consciousness, reality and identity. It made others as strange to him as he was to them. When he realized people were confused by their own over-thinking, Scott began teaching others to understand reality. He is currently CBC Radio Active’s Wellness Columnist, as well as a writer, speaker and mindfulness instructor based in Edmonton, AB where he still finds it strange to write about himself in the third person.
