This blog began in 2012 as a series of facebook posts that were responding to common misconceptions I saw expressed about common spiritual or psychological memes seen routinely on the internet.
In addition to those, I have also done periods of answering questions from readers or clients, as well as periods where I focused on narrative storytelling and the essay form as teaching devices. I also took off 2018 due to intensified care for my parents.
2020 began with a series of posts on reality that were interrupted by posts targeted at the COVID-19 pandemic. As the first wave of the virus concludes I am slowly replacing pandemic-related posts with other subjects and at some point I will shift back to the series started in January.
Everything I write was and will be accurate in principle but little should be interpreted as literally true. With clients, friends, or other experiences I mix and alter identities, times and events so much that the posts are better read as parables or essays with fictional examples.
My readers include those into new age spirituality, established major religions and more science-minded people seeking a logical explanation to their experience of reality. What I’m saying is always the same, but each post may switch which subculture I’ll refer to. Sometimes physics metaphors work better than Zen ones.
If you find the lessons useful please share them with your loved ones. There is no reason for people to be suffering unnecessarily. The world is changing. The only question is; when will each of us choose to transition away from the crippling restrictions of ego, and toward the freedom of our true, joyful, brilliant, nature?
